Reyn Media LLC ("REYN," "we," "us," or "our") operates the REYN mobile application and website at joinreyn.com (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our Service.
REYN is intended for adults 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, contact us immediately at privacy@joinreyn.com.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Account information: email address, password (hashed), date of birth
- Profile information: name, photos, bio, gender identity, pronouns, city, sexual orientation, relationship preferences
- Identity verification: government-issued ID documents (processed by Veriff, Inc. — we do not store the raw document)
- Communications: messages you send to other users through the Service
- Creator content: photos, videos, and audio you upload to the Vault
- Payment information: billing details processed by our payment processors (we do not store full card numbers)
Information collected automatically
- Device information: device type, operating system, app version, device identifiers
- Usage data: features accessed, profiles viewed, swipe actions, session duration
- Location data: precise location when you enable Date Safety Mode or Discovery location features (only with your permission)
- Log data: IP address, access times, pages viewed, errors (via Sentry)
- Push notification tokens: to deliver in-app notifications
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide, operate, and improve the Service
- Match you with other users based on your preferences
- Process transactions and deliver RYN coins
- Verify your age and identity
- Enable Date Safety Mode and share your location with designated emergency contacts
- Send notifications about matches, messages, and account activity
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and policy violations
- Comply with legal obligations
- Communicate with you about product updates and promotions (you may opt out at any time)
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information in the following limited circumstances:
With other users
Your profile information (name, photos, bio, location city, age, pronouns, gender identity) is visible to other users on the Service. Your precise location is never shared with other users unless you activate Date Safety Mode and explicitly designate an emergency contact.
With service providers
- Veriff — age and identity verification
- Twilio — SMS verification and safety alerts
- Resend — transactional email
- Sentry — error monitoring (anonymized crash reports)
- Cloudflare R2 — photo and video storage
- CCBill / PayPal — payment processing
- Expo / Google Firebase — push notification delivery
All service providers are contractually required to protect your information and use it only to provide services to REYN.
For legal reasons
We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or government authority, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of REYN, our users, or the public.
4. Adult Content
The Vault section of REYN may contain adult content created by verified creators. Access to adult content requires age verification (18+). We comply with all applicable laws regarding adult content, including 18 U.S.C. § 2257. Creators who upload content must certify that all depicted individuals are 18 years of age or older.

5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time. Upon deletion request:
- Profile data and messages are deleted within 30 days
- Creator content is removed within 30 days
- Financial transaction records are retained for 7 years as required by law
- Identity verification records are retained for the period required by applicable law
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Correction — update or correct inaccurate information
- Deletion — request deletion of your account and personal data
- Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
- Opt-out of marketing — unsubscribe from promotional communications at any time

7. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest for sensitive data, hashed passwords (bcrypt), and JWT-based authentication with short-lived access tokens. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. If you discover a security vulnerability, please report it responsibly to security@joinreyn.com.
8. International Transfers
REYN is operated in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to and processed in the U.S. or other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.
REYN is not available in countries where its operation would be prohibited by law, including Iran, North Korea, Cuba, and Syria.
9. Cookies and Tracking
Our website uses strictly necessary cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising cookies or sell data to ad networks. Our mobile app does not use cookies.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notification at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
